Instructional Design
We develop practical, creative and easy-to-use training materials for facilitators and technical trainers. Our designs focus on building skills and are developed to meet specific learning style needs of participants. We will design programs based on your organization’s needs – the profile of your learners, the resources you have available, and your organizational challenges.
We will:
-
Clarify your needs and provide you with a written proposal that describes our proposed plan and instructional design with associated costs. We may provide several design or delivery options in the proposal depending on the issue and skill area being considered.
-
Base our designs on an analysis of:
- The profile of your learners that includes every variable that might affect learning, including education levels, learning styles, levels of motivation, relevant past experience, etc.• The learning /delivery system that will be used, whether classroom/workshop, on-the-job, distance learning, or seminars.
-
The resources you have available for the training program.
-
Issues in your organization that may affect learning e.g. company culture, shift work, relationships, response to change, etc.
-
Organizational systems and programs that affect learning e.g. performance management, business planning, etc.
-
Develop the design using clearly expressed goals and objectives. We define the knowledge and skills to be learned, and creatively develop learning experiences that meet the goals. We work with content experts in your organization and/or conduct primary research to build lecture material and exercises.
-
Produce the participant learning materials, AV material and leader’s guide to match your specifications, or we will create a design that works for your organization.
-
Develop procedures and tools to evaluate the training. This includes participant reaction sheets, knowledge and skill tests, and on the job performance checks.
